About General Gerber Construction
Joe Gerber, the company’s President, is a graduate of Metropolitan State College. He worked for his father full time in General Gerber Construction since 1988 before becoming the president of the company in 1996. Joe has personally supervised hundreds of residential and commercial new construction and remodeling projects. Joe has a Class B contractor’s license in Denver and Aurora and certificates from all other metropolitan communities.
As a NACDB Certified Church Consultant, Joe takes seriously the role he plays for church organizations. He has participated on many committees and boards such as the Catholic Archdiocesan Housing Committee Board and the Arvada Building Code Advisory Board. As an ordained Catholic Deacon, Joe brings a unique perspective to church work, not only from the construction side of things but from the ministry side as well.
John O’Brien, also a NACDB Certified Church Consultant, is a Notre Dame graduate who received a Masters Degree in Business from Colorado State University with a minor in Construction Management. John worked for the family construction business for six years before opening his own general contracting company. John has a Class B general contractor’s licenses in Denver and several surrounding communities. He designed and built quality custom homes and commercial buildings in the Denver metropolitan area. He uses this experience to help manage the day-to-day operation of the General Gerber Construction office.
